RFID for Beginners
RFID is widely used today and has been around since the early 1920, but few people know or understand. RFID is for radio frequency identification and is used to store and retrieve information. This information is stored and retrieved using RFID tags or transponders. The RFID tags are small and can be incorporated into many products. The labels have antennas that allow them to receive and respond to radio-frequency queries from an RFID transmitter. Two types of RFID tags There are two types of RFID tags; tags passive and active tags. Passive tags do not have their own food, but their power of a small electrical current in the antenna which is driven by an influx of radio frequency scanning. Because of the small force in place in the system, passive RFID tags are used only over short distances (for example, an identity card). The active RFID tags have an energy source, and therefore are much stronger and can be used over long distances and therefore more effective. Active RFID tags are also able to store more information than their passive counterparts. Some active RFID tags have a battery life of up to ten years. The RFID system is the creation of an RFID system que se basa en labels, readers brand, brand programming stations, sorting equipment, circulation readers, and Wanda label inventory. RFID is widely used in security, security doors, because they are programmed to read the RFID tags, and then whether to open or close accordingly. The system allows the information is easily transmitted by an RFID device. Some systems have evolved over the years with RFID chips. The hope is that RFID will one day be available to all (ie consumers), it will be more efficient and cost-effective process to implement RFID. When RFID is used? RFID is everywhere. RFID can be found in bookstores and CD stores. The little alarm that sounds if a CD has not been scanned is made possible by an RFID chip. RFID chips can be found on the labels of animals in books in libraries, car alarms and car lock. RFID can also be used to detect the movement. This can be very useful in the coming years in terms of law and order. In 2004, Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRH) approved a contract of 415000 U.S. dollars to test RFID technology in prisons. The idea is that prisoners Will Ware bracelets to monitor their movements. If there is a movement, which is out of the ordinary, security will be notified. This technology will be used in many states in the coming years. Conclusion RFID technology seems to have endless possibilities. Some critics of RFID technology say that it violates the privacy of citizens. It basa to the fact that RFID can be used to track people and collect personal information. Putting all this energy on a chip that makes it undetectable. But RFID can also be used in the driving licence for faster police scanners, and as a means to monitor patients. With all the potentially harmful use of RFID, there are several wonderful applications. It will be interesting to see all major applications of RFID in the future. Amie Kandowski are very interested in RFID technology, love and write articles about http://www.rfidgazette.org RFID.
